Brown Gravy recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups of warm water.
1 tablespoon of raw cashew pieces, rinsed.
1 tablespoon of onion powder.
2 tablespoons of cornstarch or arrowroot.
3 tablespoons of soy sauce.
½ teaspoon of garlic powder.
1/8 teaspoons of freshly-ground black pepper.
1 ½ tablespoons of parsley flakes.
Directions:
In a blender or food processor, add ½ cup of warm water and all of the ingredients except the parsley flakes. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Add the remaining 1 ½ cups of warm water and blend again.
Pour into a saucepan, then cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for about 5 minutes or until your desired thickness is reached.
Add the parsley flakes after cooking.
