Sausage Gravy recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb of pork sausage.
4 tablespoons of flour.
2 ½ cups of milk.
3 dashes of Worcestershire sauce.
¼ teaspoon of liquid smoke.
Directions:
Brown the sausage meat in a skillet.
Using a slotted spoon, remove the meat, allowing some of the grease to be transferred along with the sausage meat. Drain the remaining grease from the pan.
Return the meat to the pan over a medium heat.
Sprinkle the flour over the meat and whisk.
Gradually add the milk and whisk to form a roux.
Add the Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke.
Keep cooking until your desired thickness is reached.
Serve over biscuits.
